Modern FPGA technology for real-time image processing
The adaptive hardware of microEnable based on FPGA technology is the key for this freely programmable, intelligent frame grabber of SILICONSOFTWARE for real time image processing.
The FPGA technology allows it to reprogram the complete hardware and readjust it for new tasks within a fraction of a second. Your advantage: a frame grabber, which is individually optimized to each camera type and, through integrated pre-processing, frees your application from time-consuming tasks. Maintenance and upgrade of the grabber are carried out by mouse click. Additionally we offer you custom-specific solutions for individual image processing tasks.
Through the combination of its free programmability and the high speed of the FPGA hardware the system is predestinated for highquality real time image processing tasks for all ranges of industry.
Let’s discover the new world of FPGA.
The microEnable was presented to the market as one of the first FPGA based frame grabber card in 1997.
Since appearance of the first microEnable frame grabber generation the efficiency was increased continously, specified and optimized to increasingly more new applications. The available function libraries reflect the broad ranges of application. Over optional subboards most different camera types can be connected, no matter if black-and-white or color, line or area cameras. About the connectivity of two cameras and real time processing of the two signals also stereoscopic applications get practicable.
With the microEnable II the new Xilinx FPGA "Virtex" series was integrated at the board which enables advanced image processing and coprocessing possibilities for the end consumer.
Besides a higher performance of our boards we offer a higher integration with the microEnable III product line on a single board. CameraLink will get one of our standard connections which also is on our latest product generation. Now all CameraLink specified cameras are supported. Furthermore additional real time features was integrated. By the integration of image memory onboard bottlenecks of the datatransfer and dropped frames will be a thing of the past.. microEnable III owns memory resources of 100 MByte and microEnable II even up to 512 MByte. microEnable III supports the 64 bit PCI bus, nevertheless remeins backwards compatible for the 32 bit PCI bus.
Three different product lines offer their services for frame grabber or coprocessor use:
microEnable IV A-series, V-series - the PCI Express
frame grabber
microEnable IV-BASE x1, -FULL x1 and -FULL x4 - the PCI Express
frame grabber
microEnable III - the 64bit / 66 MHz
frame grabber
microEnable II - the performance frame grabber and coprocessor
microEnable I - the universal frame grabber and coprocessor
OEM products based on
GigabitEthernet - modern technology preferred for long distances or networks
